A biography of the Peace Nobel Prize winner Shirin Ebadi from Iran. As a lawyer, Ebadi has been fighting for human rights, especially women's and children's rights in her home country. She defended artist Parastou Forouhar whose parents were murdered by the Iranian secret service and discovered in the process her name was on the execution list as well.

The documentary follows Shirin Ebadi on her restless trip around the world, advocating human rights. Since 2009 she is living in exile in London, together with her younger daughter.
